Well the plan for 2015 was do train for an Ultra Marathon (only a short one at 33miles) have a break for birth of son Fergus and then some more ultra’s.
Training was going well until an ankle injury ensued…(details below) well that’s what happens when to only give yourself 8 weeks to train.
Managed the race and fairly respectable result 4hrs 35mins 48sec (3 1/2hrs at marathon distance) 67th from 338.
Managed Turriff sprint to keep my triathlon hand in!!!

Turriff Sprint Triathlon – 1st Age Group, 6th Overall
I though a good rest would sort the ankle but when starting to train again in July, for a marathon the same problem re-occurred it wasn’t good, lots of physio and eventually after insisting on an MRI scan in Feb 2016 I was diagnosed with severe tendon damage and fluid accumulation. So a boot for 10weeks complete immobilisation (apart from swimming) – 2016 Season.
