After my easy day yesterday, time to do some proper training and acclimatization.<\/p>\n

Off to the pool for some good hard efforts, great community pool (that means its free to use). Very quickly worked out that it was 25yds rather than meters during the warm-up (good thing otherwise I’d have thought I was going super fast).<\/p>\n

A great 3.2k session in the open air what’s not to love. Trying out a different set of Aqua Sphere Kayenne goggles today.<\/p>\n

Leisurely lunch and then out on the bike to smash the Queen K, 3 hours of long 30 minute intervals at 10w over race pace. All great fun feeling good and fast. Even with the temperature starting out at 38degs it still felt OK on the bike, by the time I got back it had cooled to 32deg, which actually felt cold! Guess I must be acclimatizing already! Stopped to help someone out with a flat tyre and ended up riding back in the dark, all good as they have segregated cycle lanes (and I drafted a German dude with lights!)<\/p>\n
